Site News, Updates, and Feedback

I wonder if it would be possible to separate the showing of the latest app submissions from the latest forum posts? I bring this up as in recent days, there's been an increase in app submissions. This is not intended to complain about the submissions, but now that it's happening, I personally find that it's clogging up the forum posts which is what I usually come to the site to look at. I think it would be beneficial to have a separate section for both as we could then get the latest information without sacrificing either.

Dear AppleVis Community,

As our non-Apple forums continue to grow in popularity, I wanted to take a moment to make a request that I hope will improve the experience for everyone.

When we created our non-Apple forums in 2024, we wanted a dedicated place for people to be able to share their expertise and discuss other technologies besides Apple. Our non-Apple forums have proven very popular, and we are honored that people are choosing to have these conversations on AppleVis.

Dear AppleVis Community,

We wanted to take a moment to share an update to our Forum Guidelines surrounding the use of profanity on AppleVis. As of today (01/13/2026), we have made the following change:

Dear AppleVis Community,

Since our 2024 acquisition by Be My Eyes, making AppleVis available in more languages and to more people has been at the top of our wish list. While it took us some time to find the right solution, we are very excited to announce that as of today (11/18/2025), AppleVis offers machine translation of the website and all written content thanks to Google Translate.

We are pleased to announce that the AppleVis Podcast is now on YouTube.

Hello Applevis,
I was browsing the Applevis app directory of iOS today when I was able to confirm an issue I've been seeing for at least a few weeks now.
On my iPhone 17 Pro Max running, granted, iOS 26.4 developer beta 2, I have consistently had an issue with the Applevis website not displaying the app store link for any app directory entry, at least under the iOS/iPadOS category. Yet when I go to the same page(s) on my Windows desktop, I'm always able to find it. Can anyone reproduce this? Does anyone know what's happening?
Thanks.

Hello members and development team.
I have noticed that after a few days of inactivity from my Applevis account my devices will log out.
Forcing me to reenter my username and password to login to comment or post.
This is slightly inconvenient and I would suggest this feature be removed or only prompting a session expire after 2 months or longer
Thank you for reading my post.

What would be the chance of adding the ability to post audio clips to the forum? Audio is easy to compress without much loss of perceived quality, and I think it would make it easier to provide high quality accessibility walkthroughs without having to rely on third-party platforms, plus I did check and noticed that AppleVis is already either hosted on or at least served by CloudFlare which does offer this kind of distributed service.

I'd like a platform where I could share blind coding audio clips with the community, and I think this would be a perfect place to do it.

I have a suggestion. When I create a new topic in a forum, like I’m doing here, I noticed it doesn’t subscribe me to notifications by default. That means I always have to remember to manually click on the subscribe button after I’ve created my post. To me this is counterintuitive and not consistent with how other forums work, where typically it would be assumed you’d want to know about replies to a topic you just created.

Hello,
I've found a bug with the site, but I'm unsure if I should post it here or under the iOS beta forum, since that's what I'm running.
I have an iPhone 16 pro max running the 26.3 RC & I've noticed that when a user posts a comment, Voiceover reads it twice.
Is this expected behavior?

Hello there,

I have one minor suggestion that would probably help with a lot of things, mainly comment organization, as the subject line reads. On large forum topics, including the iOS 27 beta thread, because there are over 70 comments now, it is very hard to get to the newest comment. You have to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page, usually navigating by heading, use the pagination link to go to the last page, and finally view the last new comment.

Hey,,
First, soon will be one year since the acquisition of applevis by be my eyes. Let's just say that this website has just become better since August last year. I am very grateful with all the work the entire team is doing, from moderation to, well, attempts to add old features back :) joke aside thanks so much.

So I don't know if anyone else is getting this but I just got an error when posting a comment. Error, unable to send email. Not a big deal as my comment indeed got posted but wanted to bring this to the front case people didn't know.

Hi,
Just another request for improvements please. :)
As the subject says, the update to show the forum topic under the title of the post does not show when we click more apple posts link and brows through the pages. It does show for all non-apple posts in the similar view.
Thank you for your great work.

Hello,
This message is mainly for the website administrators.
I’m writing today, to inform you that I had to switch back to Safari last night, just to be able to change my password. Ordinarily, I use Microsoft Edge on all devices, including my Apple devices, due to its ability to send tabs back-and-forth among other handy features Safari doesn’t yet support.
