IS it just me? Try to navigate in the home view tab, the bottom home view. It's outright unusable now, each infromation is split in its own element, and explore by touch doesn't work much either. Like, the duration of the video, whether it's been liked (this is new, about 3 weeks ago), when it was posted, the view count, the channel name, more action button for that channel and go to channel, everything is 1 individual element.
And to filter, we have 4-5 tabs on the top of the screen , at least in the home feed, all, unwatched, videos, live, etc.
Are we talking about the YouTube app? Because there’s definitely issues watching YouTube apps I mean videos in Safari. I’m not sure if we’re talking about the same thing. I’ve never downloaded YouTube app at all. But if that’s what you’re talking about now then I really don’t think I want to. Sounds like an unusable inaccessible mess. Just checking that for clarification thanks.
The Youtube app is seriously almost unusable now as of the latest update, 21.43.5.. I also have an Android phone. The app works great on Android but seriously painful to use now on iOS. At this point, I think the more of us who can reach out to Google Accessibility about this the better.
Damn, as I said it's seriously terrible. I am a Premium light subscriber. The service which for 11 euro per month gives you no advertisements in podcasts and ideos, but they are on music - for music I have other services.
Most comfortable function was to get subscriptions then switch the VIDEO tab so that you could read videos in chronological order but now it's a real mess.
I use it in my iPad 9 with iOS 27.2, was watching a video, no issues, I even was able to increase the time of the video. Dealing with the ads but that is always been a pain. Also use an external keyboard. Had not use it on the iPhone yet.
the search field on the Youtube app for ios was not working for me either. it would show the field but I couldn't type into it with bsi or external keyboard.

This is not the main problem

Yes. This started Wednesday last week on the 27th.
I Just Contacted Google Accessibility About This

youtube search field

Youtube is working fine for me.
Maybe I'm just used to it but I've used it to help me sleep and relax.
no issues
My YouTube app is fine. I have automatic updates turned on, so it's possible it hasn't updated yet, but so far everything is where it should be.
In contrast, on the website on the mac, pressing the slash key would take me to the search field and it no longer does that.
Re: Youtube is working fine for me.
Double check on the home view. Both home / all tabs. It is really not fine currently.
