Looking for Beta Testers for BlindRacer, an Accessible Slot Car Racing Game

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for volunteers from the AppleVis community to help test a game I’ve been developing called BlindRacer.

BlindRacer is a fully accessible slot car racing game designed from the ground up for VoiceOver users. My goal wasn’t simply to make a racing game that blind people can play. I wanted to create a game that’s exciting, competitive, and rewarding while being completely playable without vision.

The game uses realistic slot car physics. Your objective is to drive as fast as possible while keeping your car on the track. Push too hard through a corner and your car can fly off the track, just like a real slot car. Learning each track, mastering the turns, and improving your lap times are all part of the challenge.

The game is still in beta, and I’m looking for testers who are willing to spend some time racing and sharing their feedback. I’m especially interested in hearing about gameplay, VoiceOver support, audio cues, controls, difficulty, bugs, and anything else that could make the experience even better.

You don’t need to be an experienced gamer to participate. Whether you play games every day or are just curious about accessible gaming, your feedback would be incredibly valuable.

If you’d like to join the beta, simply visit:

From there, you can sign up for the TestFlight beta and start racing.

My hope is to build one of the best accessible racing games available on Apple platforms, and I’d love for the AppleVis community to help shape it.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I look forward to hearing what you think!

Sounds fun, I'll test it.

You know what would be really cool, having controller support to use the triggers and getting haptic feedback, even resistance on Duel Sense controllers.

Is this accessible for sighted players too? My dad used to race slot cars in the 60s and I imagine this could be a fun game if there were a competitive mode.

This game is fun and addictive. Thank you, I am thoroughly enjoying this. Would it be possible to add real car sounds? Second, not sure if I am doing something wrong, but my car always scrubs against the edge of the oval track on easy difficulty and I cannot figure out the turns. I also do not notice any change when switching from stock to tuned under “Car”.

Please consider replacing this sine thing with some realistic loop. Well, actually two: one for the motor and one for the wheels. I might work on that and contribute some SFX but I'll be busy for the next few days.

I honestly hope that this sine wave is just a placeholder for car sounds. Doesn't really fit the vibe here to be frank.
