Comments
Hi!
Hi everyone β I'm Anil, the developer of Race to Nowhere. Thank you so much for the warm welcome and the incredibly thorough review. Building a fully accessible game was something I became committed to after receiving some detailed feedback and I'm really glad it's landed well.
I'm actively working on further improvements based on testing feedback β automatic mile, stamp and score announcements at turn start, points scored on city arrival, and focus moving to the pass button are all planned for the next update.
Please feel free to ask any questions about the game here and I'll do my best to answer promptly. And if anyone wants to play an online match, I'm in!

Kind of confused
So Iβm confused on how a turn works in this game. I was able to travel to my first destination, but after that, Iβm not sure what to do or what to click. When I go to travel to another destination, it shows me my cards, but Iβm not sure how to use those cards. Could someone please explain to me how an entire term works? . Could someone please explain to me how a entire turn works?
re: Believer 316
Hey! Thanks for trying the game! your objective after starting the turn is first to check your cards before travelling to another country. because when you travel you end the turn. so I would say that the most important things are to check your cards and objectives, check your persona to see where you need to go to get extra points, example: find a location with adventure, culture, shopping, etc.
After you travel just find the "pass turn to next player" at the right of the screen.
Hope you can understand and enjoy the game!
How do I check my cards?
When I click the cards button at the bottom of the screen, nothing happens. Is there a way to play cards or to use them? I havenβt quite figured that part out yet.
cards
you need to play the cards at the start of your turn before flying to another country. when you travel you end the turn. the cards are displayed at the bottom when you press the cards button. I usually focus on one of the cards and swipe left and right to find all of them.
Playing a turn
Hi, Anil here β the developer of Race to Nowhere. Great question and happy to walk you through it! Here's how a full turn works:
At the start of your turn you have three options:
1. Fly to a new city
The button at the bottom right of the map screen opens your destination options. Choose a city, then select Economy or Business class. Business costs twice the personal miles but earns gives you a free objective. Once you've flown, your turn ends and passes to the next player.
2. Play a card first, then fly
Before flying you can play one card from your hand. Tap the bag icon at the bottom of the screen to open your cards. Tap a card to see what it does, then tap Play to use it. Some cards give you bonus miles, some affect other players, and Reaction cards can be played on other players' turns. After playing a card you can still fly that same turn.
3. Take a special action instead of flying
Tap the map icon at the bottom centre to see your available actions β you can take a Layover to gain miles, trade miles or cards with another player, or get a new objective.
After flying you can pass the device to the next player if you're playing pass and play or the AI will play the next round β tap the hourglass button that appears after landing.
Hope that helps β let me know if you have any other questions!

Map is always on screen
For some reason, the map is always displayed for me which I think might be a part of the reason why I canβt play cards because the map is blocking my screen. I donβt have to click a button or anything. Itβs just automatically there. Not sure if this is a bug with voiceover or something else, but maybe this has something to do with it.
Map is always on screen
Hi β thanks so much for reporting this. This is really helpful feedback and I want to make sure we get it sorted for you.
What you're describing sounds like the map view may not be dismissing correctly when VoiceOver is active. A couple of quick things to try in the meantime:
- Try swiping down from the top of the map with three fingers β this sometimes dismisses overlay views in VoiceOver mode
- Try double tapping the bottom right area of the screen where the action buttons are β the map icon, bag icon, and flight button should be accessible even when the map is showing
I'm going to investigate this immediately and will have a fix in the next update while I track down the exact cause.

Map is always on screen
Hi everyone,
Version 1.24 is now live on the App Store with the following fixes and improvements:
β Map view dismissal bug fixed for VoiceOver users β the map should no longer block access to cards and action buttons
β Miles, stamps and score now announced automatically at the start of each turn
β Points scored announced on city arrival
β VoiceOver focus now moves automatically to the pass turn button after landing
Thank you to everyone who reported issues and provided feedback β every comment in this thread directly shapes the game. This is exactly the kind of community I was hoping to find.
If you're still experiencing any issues after updating please let me know here and I'll investigate immediately.
