I have the Meta Smart glasses gen 2. I noticed that Meta is opening up their IOS app and smart glasses to third party developers. Besides the Meta apps and some others listed in the meta ai app connections settings, are there other apps that work with the Meta smart glasses. I am not just talking about hearing output via blue tooth, but more like apps that are integrated with the meta smart glasses and the meta ai IOS app.

Apps You Can Connect
You can connect several apps to the Meta glasses, such as Spotify, Google Contacts, and Shazam. You can find more info in the Meta AI app, in your glasses' settings.
apps outside the ones listed in the meta ai app
I know there are several apps listed in the meta ai app under connections in settings. I was wondering if other companies have developed apps using the meta ai SDK.
Other apps:
Oohryan, scribe me, those are the only two that I know of so far. Iām pretty sure PiccyBot is coming soon. Oh and Aira.
Envision Ally works with meta glasses too
Of course, this has been in beta for a long time now; the beta might even expire soon, but when I did try it, it actually worked quite well. In fact, Envision Ally worked a lot better on my Meta glasses than it did with the Ally Solos glasses. Talk about a purchase I regret!
Envision Ally (companion)
How do you get started with the subject app? Just download and install or what?
Ally on meta glasses
The version this applies to is still a beta; haven't been aware of an actual update in several months. Anyway, as long as you have developer mode enabled on the glasses, you should be able to link the Ally app to the Meta glasses. The beta version of Ally I have walked me through the process without any issues. I find it to be very troubling, though, that there's been nothing but Radio silence from Envision since February or so.
ally and more
Okay thanks. I will try Ally next. I just downloaded and installed and connected the oorion app and connected to my meta smart glasses gen 2. It was pretty seamless. Just figuring out how to use it.
Oorion and Meta glasses
This seems like a pretty cool app that does live video description using AI that is on your phone. You can ask what it sees or ask it to find a certain object. As you move around it will describe what it sees.
I like the idea of performing these tasks using on device AI instead of resorting to the cloud, both for privacy reasons and for the low latency.
Unfortunately, the app still needs a bit of work. I have had trouble getting the app to stop describing what it sees by saying "stop" or "Oorion stop" as described in the documentation.
Also, sometimes I have had the video just stop or the audio suddenly start coming out of my iPhone instead of the glasses. I hope some of these issues can be resolved.
although Meta has apparently opened up their system a bit with their SDK, I think the integration with the iOS eco system still isn't as good as it could be. Hope these issues can be worked out.
