My latest issue with Facebook now is how laggy it is. Whether i'm reading notifications or browsing my feed, it'll just freeze in the middle of reading something.
Not that but I have the issue when scrolling my feed that VO jumps back to the top everytime you comeout of a post. Have a feeling this relates to a thing that recently appeared which says Recently viewed button. Double tapping does nothing and then it disappears and can't be found by VO but suspect it can be seen. Either way if you have scrolled down 20 posts having to swipe to get back to where you were is a total pain. You can if you remember quickly press the middle of the screen instantly you come out of a post and it stays there but remembering everytime is a nightmare.
I had been off of FaceBook for years pretty much, but today I spent literally 10 minutes in the latest app on IOS26.5 and, to say that I was frustrated with FaceBook is to say nothing! It’s reached its rock bottom! I’ve used FaceBook since the early 2014 and I’ve never seen it that laggy and inaccessible! First off, I can’t give any reaction to posts, accept for a like.
Second, After scrolling through couple posts, voiceover suddenly takes me to the very 1st post in my feed, it happened twice for 10 minutes today.
Third, Voiceover can read a post while its cursor would secretly jump to another post. That’s exactly how I wrote a comment under the wrong post. Thank god I saw I posted it under the wrong post.
P.s. Reminding you that I didn’t have any chance to do on FaceBook for these 10 minutes, that’s all I was doing. Whatever I was doing was glichy or inaccessible.
I don’t know if Apple Vis can collect our complains and send them to FaceBook or not.

So I noticed that this issue with Facebook only happens when I hold the phone to my ear, which I sometimes do if I'm somewhere that's a bit louder and don't want to necessarily use AirPods. It's very strange.
I started having this issue last week in facebook. Anytime my hand was near the top of the screen, the screen went dark. I found that anytime my finger got close to or touched the earpiece hole the screen would go dark when in Facebook. This is used by the phone app when you're on a call using the earpiece to keep your face from interacting with the touch screen. It is very annoying.
Hmmm, I somehow was unable to reproduce your issue. I just did a test by having my fingers close to the top of the screen, and even holding my phone right up to my ears, and my screen did not go dark at all. Everything works as normal.

can't double tap on any post now to open a real or comment fed up of all this now every time they update.
