Accessibility Comments

This game was not designed with Voiceover users in mind but it's fully playable. There's a new update with improved accessibility coming, but I'll explain how to play this addicting and free match 3 game.
the size of the board is 5 by 5, so 5 rows and columns. Voiceover doesn't announce your position when exploring the screen, it just announces the name of the cup on each square, but that's good because you can find matches faster.
Your objective is to merge at least 2 cups of the same level to upgrade it to a higher level.
The tutorial explains that when two cups merge, the one that is above will go down, so you need to consider your future situation. every move count!
Your tools are located at the bottom of the screen. save them for the best situation.
you earn new tools when reaching certain score milestones.
When there's no merge possibilities available, you will be able to read this information if you explore the bottom of the screen above your tools. Voiceover will find the text that says "no merges available, use your tools".
If you have no merges and no tools it's game over.when launching the game for the first time you will be in the tutorial. to read the text, just flick up with two fingers to go to the top of the screen and flick right to read it. you might need to flick up a few times to repeat the same process for the next pages while in the tutorial.
To close the settings screen you can follow the same instructions. the close button is the first one when flicking up with two fingers. same for the game over screen.
After closing the game over screen, you can start a new game at the bottom, you will find a button to start a new brew.

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads all page elements.

Button Labeling

All buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability

The app is fully accessible with VoiceOver and is easy to navigate and use.

Other Comments

the game has sound effects and haptic feedback. It's relaxing and addicting!

This is such satisfying fun! I can't remember the last time I was this excited upon seeing an app here. Thank you for the post!

Awesome! That's why I'm searching every day to bring these games to our community! I hope that you have so much fun with it! Happy gaming and thanks for your message!

I love match games like this, ☺️. I'm not incredibly *good* at them, but I love them.

How many inaccessible games do you have to download to find stuff like this? I'd never have even tried downloading it.

This is cool so far but I'm having a bit of trouble since VoiceOver isn't reading row and column numbers. Do you think a setting for this could be added?

By matheus rheine on Monday, May 18, 2026 - 01:37

hey everyone! the developer sent a message saying that the update with all of my reported improvements is processing and will be available when Apple approves. I'll announce when it's available.
@Paige I thought about it, but since we have a small board here it would become really repetitive earing the same information over and over. perhaps it could be useful if it could be toggled in the settings, but I'm really not sure how much time it would take to code. But the developer is probably reading your comments, so let's wait for the next update and we can suggest some more features for the future.
@Yvonnezed thanks for your positive feedback as always! I'm so happy to know that you're enjoying it! You don't need to have the best score, as long as you're having fun and relaxing that's all that matters!
I've lost count of how many games I've installed all these years. probably a few thouzand. Some of them I end up buying to follow my intuition and end up losing some money. Apple doesn't even accept my refund requests no matter what I write, lol.

I downloaded the game earlier today and started playing tonight. Interestingly, in my first game, I reached level 11 but there was no option to play the ceramic cup.

I have also downloaded heaps of games over the years and not kept them all, either because they don't interest me or I don't understand them.

I know this is off topic, but another puzzle game I am really enjoying is Hashi. I've played over 100 of the easy puzzles, all the daily challenges since the beginning of the month, about 12 medium puzzles and 1 hard puzzle.

I myself feel the numbers would get in my way, but perhaps make them available through the VoiceOver hints system? That way they would only read if you lingered on a particular spot in the tray. Also, the updates came through--the increased clarity on the tools is very helpful indeed. If the dev is in fact reading this, I'm very grateful for this game and the work you've put in! Thank you.

I was going to suggest voiceover hints as well, this is how it's done in woven words and I think it's very useful for staying oriented without slowing down gameplay

I have not tried the update yet but I loved what I saw from the looks of playing yesterday. Man you really need to stop surprising us with these addicting games Lol. With that being said I look forward to see what else you bring to the table cause I know there's more.

in settings, it looks like sounds and haptics are turned on. But, they don’t play. Is there supposed to be a sound after every selection? Also, in general, I’m not sure. I understand the point. Do you only select cups that are next to each other, or can you select one, jump over one, and select another one?

By Paige on Monday, May 18, 2026 - 21:09

The sounds when you make a merge are very subtle, the one that plays when you unlock a new cup level is louder. You have to select cups that are next to each other, and groups of more than 2 are worth more points, even if they aren't in a straight line.

By charles on Monday, May 18, 2026 - 22:03

I see that we can select adjacent cups. If there are 4 in a verticle or horrizontal line, do I select the one that is at the place where they all meet? Then, do they all change to something else? Is this a game sort of like candy crush? I'm not sure that I understand the mechanics. Any thoughts are appreciated. It looks like a fun game.

Basically, it works like this. Say you have two level 1 cups next to each other. The one you double tap turns into a level two cup. I think essentially the level goes up based on how many you merge.

I think that's how it works, anyway. You can basically only merge cups that are horizontally or vertically next to another cup, not diagonal, so you could merge three cups at a1, a2, b1, for example and I think get a level three cup.

And as I said, the cup you tap matters, since the others merge to leave gaps that the ones above drop into. Anyway, at least I think that's roughly how it works.

By matheus rheine on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 - 23:10

Now the row and column is spoken using the Voiceover hints as well as announcing the level of the cups before their name, which makes merging them much much faster, hope you all enjoy!
changelog:
Even more improvements for users relying on voice over as well another game center fix. Thanks for playing tea cup merge!

By Brad on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 - 06:57

The hints work on the items at the bottom but ther's no roe and collum info and the cups still read as, clay cup level one, for example.

By matheus rheine on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 - 09:30

Hey Brad! I'm almost sure that you're running the older version. please refresh the updates on the App Store and confirm that the App is updated to 1.2.2.

I've always wondered about the appeal of merge games, with approximately 99% of the ones I know exist being inaccessible. This is very simple to learn, which makes it immediately fun. There's a part of me that wishes for things to be unlocked in between runs, ways to make the game more, in my mind, but as is, it is really fun.
Thanks for the posting, and bringing it to our attention, and fingers!

By Exodia on Monday, May 25, 2026 - 02:46

this sounds very similar to Tetris. The difference is you’re not really making a shape. I do wish that I could get more tools or at least merge more cups and one go. I noticed they have to be horizontally right next to each other or one right below the other of the same level.

By Exodia on Monday, May 25, 2026 - 23:12

I have an idea for the game. What if voiceover could tell you that there are possible merges around or in the vicinity of certain coordinates. Not exactly right on those coordinates, but kind of give you a hint as to where they are. I have the hints turned on but they just tell you what row or column you’re on.
