Description of App
You wake up in the woods. You don't know how long you've been walking. The trail behind you has faded. The light won't last. What's in your pack is what you have. Survive Alone is an immersive survival game about staying alive in the wilderness, one decision at a time. Manage your body heat, hunger and thirst as you fight to survive. You will get lost. You will run out of water. You will spend a night under thin cover in driving rain and feel it in your bones the next morning. You will learn, slowly, what the woods will and won't forgive. THREE STORIES. ONE WILDERNESS. Wrong Turn - A hike that didn't end where it should have. Find your way back to the trailhead before something stops you. Crash Landed - The plane came down in the alpine. There are no rescue teams looking yet. Survive until they come. The Will to Live - No destination. No rescue. Just the Pacific Northwest, the rain, and how long you can last. STAY WARM Build a fire when the weather lets you. Improve the shelter where you slept last. A rain-soaked night under thin cover costs you more than a hard day's walk. EAT & DRINK Spear a fish from the lakeshore. Set snares overnight. Forage for berries, mushrooms, edible roots, and learn the difference between what feeds you and what doesn't. Find a creek. Boil what's unsafe. Melt snow when nothing else is running. Carry empty bottles for the next leg. CRAFT Strip cedar bark and weave it into cordage. Lash hardwood and sinew into a bow, a spear, a fishing rod. Hammer salvaged scrap into something that holds water. Every tool starts somewhere in the world. HIKE Pick a direction. Every step costs hours and calories. A heavier pack costs more. The trail ahead is only a hint of brush, of stone, of running water. The world keeps going Day breaks. Rain falls. Snow drives sideways. A creek runs cold over stones. The deer leaves prints in soft soil. The weather decides what kind of day this is. The journal remembers what you did. It also remembers what you couldn't. It's just you, the woods, and whatever you do next.

Kindling
Any tips on finding kindling? Warmth seems to be what kills me the most and I can't start fires easily to deal with this issue.
Initial impressions I loved
Hi AppleVis users,
Initially, I found this game quite interesting, but I can not cook and I can not start a fire, and I am dying. What to do?
Hey! It's 12:35 am.
How to start a fire
Hi,
To start a fire you need to find wood and some kindling. The wood is easy, but kindling doesn't seem to be. Once you have these things, double tap the fire button on the left hand side where all the actions are. A new screen will pop up, and there will be a start fire button. To cook, you will need to add extra wood to the fire to strengthen it, and you will need to have caught and cut up a fish or other animal.
Hope this helps.
making a fire
To make a fire you have to get wood, go to your pack screen, click on the wood, then click shave. Then you go to the fire screen and click light fire. I recommend you make a fire plow in the craft screen. I like this game but I don't get very far lol and man I hate that it's in landscape. I really don't know hy they couldn't respect people's choice to use their phone; in portrait mode.
Thoughts
First impression so far, this game definitely has potential. But I feel like it’s kind of hard, and not in the fun way. Both because it’s nearly impossible to find everything that you need, and the experience could be a bit more streamlined, and intuitive with voiceover.
@tyler chambliss
That helps a lot! Thank you
Can’t tell what the stats are
So right at the bottom of the screen or right down the end when swiping with VoiceOver, it will read me the stats but it won’t tell me which status which
stats
I know the layout is weird. I wish this was in portrait and that the stat labels weren't separate from the actual stats but it tells you the order they're in right before the buttons to go to craft and whatnot but if you scroll to to the actual stat numbers the order is warmth, water thirst level it starts at 100 and goes down, your number of calories available, and your condition/health points. All of them accept your calories or a count down scale from 100 to 0.
Thanks for that
Thanks. I like the game.
Has anyone actually managed to survive?
I keep either dying from lack of food, because I use too much energy when moving, or lack of of shelter because I am trying to get food
Surviving
I had the most success with exploring from the beginning until I have everything I need for fishing traps. Meat from there gives more energy (350) compared to the calories from catching fish, and you don't have to spend time/energy spearing them. Improve your shelter ASAP so that you can cook while it rains, too.
update 1.0.1 available, much better
Hey everyone! Here's the latest update! Everything has been improved. stats reading, headings for easier navigation and the actions all read automatically now! if you can, please buy the other scenarios. to access them just swipe left or right with three fingers when you're in the difficulty selection screen after going to start game on the main menu.
changelog:
Hey survivors! In this update: • Fixed a critical bug where progress could be lost after closing the app. Runs now save reliably across sessions. • Survival balance pass on Normal: storms are more survivable with decent shelter, sleep recovers condition more reliably, and fire warms faster when you're freezing. • "Improve shelter" no longer feels broken. The percent you build now matches what the journal reports. • Foraging is more abundant on Normal: fewer empty searches, larger hauls, and traps catch more reliably. • VoiceOver improvements: action results now announce automatically, key sections marked as headings for rotor navigation, settings toggles report on/off, and the stat bar reads each value with its label. • Fixed a layout issue on Dynamic Island iPhones where the death/victory screen could be partially hidden in landscape. • Smaller clock improvements so the daylight countdown reads consistently across dusk.
Thank you!
Thanks so much for fixing all of this so quickly-really happy to see the progress issue is fixed, and excited to check out all these improvements!
Thank you, this is great!
That was so quick, and I love the improvements.
Difficulty
Hi, how do I change the difficulty? I didn't find anything in the settings about difficulty, I only found the scenarios on the New Game screen, and it automatically puts me on Survivor. Any help would be appreciated. Have a nice day
I was very excited until
"landscape mode"
Enjoy it, I cant. I hate it:(
Favorite scenario
My favorite scenario so far is the plane crash scenario. I haven’t managed to live very long at any of the three scenarios. I always seem to starve or get cold or can’t seem to find water fast enough.
Other scenarios
I have the all access I bought that but how do you get the other scenarios and what does the all access give you? I’m kind of confused. I thought the all access would give us all of the other scenarios. does the all access just give you different survivor levels like wander and survivor and where do you find the option to buy the other scenarios?
re: other scenarios
Hey! to access the other scenarios you just swipe left or right with three fingers while you're in the difficulty selection screen, after choosing to start the game on the main menu. you will be able to read the description of the new scenario and choose the difficulty before starting the adventure.
The new update also introduced a leaderboard, achievements and bug fixes, and I believe there are more scenarios in development.
Happy gaming!
Hey, thanks
Thanks for the help. I’ll try that.
update 1.0.3
Hey survivors! Here are the updates this go around: • VO Improvements: Survival warnings are now spoken aloud: low warmth, water, and food, plus a heads up when your fire or your daylight is running short. • VO Improvements: Menus keep their place as you move through them, action results read out in full, on/off toggles announce their state, and tap targets are larger and easier to land. • Cook up to four pieces of meat or fish in a single pass, for no more effort than cooking one. • New to survival? Wrong Turn now walks first time players toward morning, with quiet notes in your journal as the light fades. • Bug fix: Bait now crafts from any food you can forage, including the mushrooms and berries that were being turned away before. • Bug fix: Salmon can now be cooked like any other fish in Will to Live scenario
