Hey everyone, I’d love to invite the AppleVis community to help beta test VoiceLink, a new communication platform being built with accessibility and flexibility at its core. Note that my win11 keyboard has issues, so may have to manually enter links at the moment untill i can modify this. This is a fresh and interesting way to chat, connect, and communicate across platforms, with a strong focus on VoiceOver usability from the beginning. 🔗 Project Link Download here, https://voicelink.devinecreations.net/downloads-enhanced.html The site includes access to: * TestFlight for iOS https://testflight.apple.com/join/duD9ycHJ has,, macOS builds and server downloads Everything is organized on the downloads section of the site. ⸻ connect here... Voicelink Access https://chat.whatsapp.com/HesAnbKsTTN5neH11BxzSz 📱 Platforms Available Right Now Currently usable for testing: * macOS * iOS (via TestFlight) 🚧 Coming Soon * Windows support is present but not yet ready for public testing * Full web browser access is coming soon ⸻ 🎧 Audio Overview Coming Soon An audio overview / walkthrough of the platform will be available soon. If you’d prefer to listen first before testing, that’s completely fine. The overview will walk through the layout, features, and overall experience. ⸻ 💡 What Makes VoiceLink Different? VoiceLink is designed to be highly flexible. It supports: * self-hosted servers * existing hosted servers * custom deployments for communities For example, setups like: * voicelink.applevis.com * applevis.com/voicelink could be fully supported and would show directly inside the client. The client dynamically reflects what the server is running, including: * modules and features * version compatibility * rooms and services ⸻ 🔐 Authentication & Security VoiceLink includes flexible authentication options: * standard login systems * modular authentication methods * two-factor authentication (2FA / MFA) * Mastodon authentication support ⸻Note some features either on site, or in-app may or may not work quite yet as intended so keep that in mind when visiting any linked site pages or downloading any linked apps. Where possible use proper links on pages to contact me, or via email links where avalible. Submitting feedback on iOS app is possible within app in settings tab. Also within Macos advanced settings tab via CMD+,. CMD Comma... Features to Explore During Testing I would especially appreciate feedback on the following,: * rooms and channels * locked and unlocked rooms * room descriptions * room PIN code support * chat and interaction flow * webhook support for integrations * VoiceOver navigation * moderation tools and controls * admin features * server switching and login experience There is a Community server online and the main server as well. Moderation is designed to be flexible so communities can shape their own environments. Server Support (Optional) You can download and run your own VoiceLink server directly from the site. * If a server is set up, it may automatically appear in the client * Running your own server is not required for testing * You can simply install the client and connect to existing servers If you’re interested in running your own instance or want help setting one up, feel free to get in touch. Note that if you decide to launch a server, it will connect to the main one. All server related features etc would be managed through the macos client. In future will be managed through connected sites if any, such as blog site, via web uis . Development Stack VoiceLink is currently being developed using: * Codex * Claude Code alongside custom backend infrastructure. ⸻ 🎁 Early Tester Support Early users may receive up to 3 months of free server access in the future as a thank-you for helping support development. There are many ways to do so, just contact me directly if you want to test it out, via here or other methods. ⸻ 🚀 Closing This is an early-stage project with a big vision, and feedback from the AppleVis community will play a huge role in shaping it. If you’re interested, visit the main site, head to the downloads section for the TestFlight link and builds, and start exploring. Sound skeems buy Mathew Whitaker and myself. Thanks for helping build something accessible from the ground up, or at least reading! — Dom VoiceLink / Divine Creations

instead of all the fancy imojes please ensure the links are clickable when using screenreaders as not a good start, in terms of accessibility to even get more info on the app.

fixed it so you can manually get link and go to it in browser or chrome&Safari.

the reason the testflight is not working on iOS is because it's for macOS, as evendenced by this thread.

I was able to access the test flight link but doing it manually but I’m not very impressed with just the layout over all, it is very confusing and almost overwhelming.

for a developer who claims to be building an accessible community type app, the testflight link and the link to the website is inaccessible. this is a huge oversite, and should be rectified. I will not test until you have an accessible testflight, link, as i cannot test with the current implimentation. good luck, but as someone said, not a great start.

Sorry keyboard issues here, a letter is stuck or not working at times and have no idea why, its a function key issue I think. But Testflight version will merror the Macos version a lot at some time, as for rules from Testflight adn building there, features later on offered will have to be offered for subscribes... This has been a fun thing to do for the last few years, I been working on this with the tools. Finally could get the dev account in March.

Hi, the main comment I started has the link to the downloads url where downloading the Macos version is done. One main reason I started this because of TT on Mac being inaccessible, and wanted to try something new so thought, why not.

Just by this post alone not a good look. Plus, not that hard to make clickable links. I'm not gunna wanna copy paste to a link that may or may not, work. What's wrong with people! Plus, clean up your sentences. Can't even read this shit! Links are all over the place on same lines, sentences are jumbled yeah. hard pass. Sighs what's wrong with some devs! If your app's interface is so confusing that your users cannot navigate and you claim to be a blind dev? wow! What did you just put this all into AI and called it a day because if ya did? I ain't going for that! my Gawd!
