Hey everyone, I want to share an iPhone mobile web accessible game I just started building on Lovable. The game is currently set up and building, and the core gameplay involves throwing snowballs at regular penguins and powerful Penguin Bosses to collect Diamonds.

Technical Note for Updates
Since this is a mobile web game built on Lovable and not a native app, you must refresh your screen in Safari to see new updates when I push them out. A "What's New" pop-up will appear immediately after a refresh to highlight the latest changes.
Early Features & Arcade Games
* Arcade Selection: I am currently building Penguin Pop and Diamond Dash. Please note these are unlockable features as you progress.
* Reward Systems: Includes a Scratch Card, Lucky Wheel, and Arctic Slots.
* Achievements: A dedicated section to track your milestones and progress.
* Daily Streaks: Log in every day to maintain your streak, collect rewards, and receive a free spin.
* Atmosphere: Features a peaceful theme with ambient noises, 3D audio cues, and haptic feedback.
Game Modes
* Standard: Easy, Medium, Hard, and Endless.
* Premium Modes: I am building specialized challenges including Boss Rush, Speed Blitz, Zen Mode, and Daily Challenges.
* Note: Within these Premium Modes, higher difficulty levels may also need to be unlocked through gameplay.
Accessibility & VoiceOver
To ensure a high-performance, lag-free experience, the game uses a custom built-in narrator. The game will prompt you to toggle VoiceOver OFF for the following:
* All Game Modes (Standard & Premium)
* Arcade Games (Penguin Pop & Diamond Dash)
* Shop, Slots, Scratch Card, & Lucky Wheel
* Achievements
Note: The Settings menu, the how to play and Ambient noise selection, What's New log, and Send Feedback form fully support VoiceOver and do not require it to be turned off. Everything will save you don’t have to log in every day.
Pengo
I just tried the link, and it seems that Pengo is already listed. It's breaking ice blocks and battling snow bees. Of course, the best part of Pengo for me was the music, which you probably don't have access to or wouldn't be able to use. I tried to sign in with Apple, but I'm not sure it worked. I'll have to play around with it some more when I've got the mental bandwidth to figure things out. Playing using my meta glasses or airpods should be fun.
Another game
Again Brian you might remember this one, I know it came for Atari but also RK. Spiderman. He was climbing a building and someone was dropping bombs on him. He needed to move around the outside of the building. LLC.

That’s an interesting one, I never heard of that before, I did just add a new arcade game similar to what you were talking about, but it’s called penguin climber.

The dev was having some technical issues with the PC and Mac versions, so she has taken them down for now.

Yeah, I tried making it available for Mac and windows, but I ran into some issues when setting it up with GitHub, I’m not familiarized with that website at all, I don’t understand how to use it. I could definitely give it a try again but I don’t know.

Persistent Web App vs Onboard App
If you open the game link in Safari, double tap on share at the bottom of the screen, and choose the, "add to home screen", option, then you essentially have an application right there on your homescreen. This is a persistent web app, which is essentially the application running inside the web browser, but without any of the web browser toolbar additions. My question is, is there a particular benefit we would get from this being an onboard application, over a persistent web application?
Or is this just a matter of preference? Genuinely asking here. 🙂
i’m having a lot of fun with this
I’m actually really having fun with this. I do have one question though, how do you stop the verbosity. I find that during the game, the voice is so verbose and I don’t know how to stop it. Even when I set the setting to minimal for talkativeness or whatever that setting is called, it still gives me all that extra info. They each have different sounds, should there be a way to turn that amount of verbosityoff? And I mean they meaning the penguins. And I think the boss penguins should be called emperor penguins because there are such a thing as emperor penguins and it would kind of fit the setting a little bit better. But then again, emperor rush doesn’t quite sound as good as boss rush.

I am still loving this game very much. And the arcade games are terrific. Loving the new Donkey Kong clone. It brings me back to a time when a handful of quarters went a long way at the arcade.

I'm at level 25
I hit level 25 today, and I think it is the maximum level you can reach in the game. I am also really enjoying this.

Thank you guys both, I’m really glad that you are enjoying my new mobile web accessible game, and as well for the new arcade game, I am aware of some things I need to update regarding the arcade game, but I am not able to do so till next month, and I’m really glad that you are just enjoying my game overall, and yes, I will be adding more levels to the game, I’m not too sure yet how far I want to go regards to the levels, if you have any suggestions, I’ll be more than willing to add those, but I’m really glad that you’re enjoying the new arcade game, a friend actually suggested it to me, so I’m glad that you are enjoying it as well, and you’re enjoying my game overall still, again if you have any bugs you’re experiencing, or just want to give your feedback in general, just use my email that I have on my foreign post.

I think I will give this a go. I’m gonna try this on my android phone because now it is my primary phone. And then I will add the link to my home screen as a user suggested above. This seems like a fun little game to play you can pick it up and put it down.
