I've noticed the following:
I can't see the post button when composing a new thread, replying to someone's post, or when in a direct message. This is with using voiceover as is or with screen recognition.
Also, the follow button is only visible on someone's profile when using screen recognition.
Anyone else having these issues or know of work arounds?
Posting on the web works as expected so I've isolated that these are Threads app issues itself.
[Edited to add the follow button issue and to expand the post button visibility issue to direct messages as well.]

Threads app issue for iOS
I'm also experiencing the same bug. Unfortunately, the latest update hasn't fixed the problem.
Iβm also having this problem
Hello, Iβm glad someone posted about this because Iβve been having the same issue as well! Iβve also been having another issue, but I donβt think this is VoiceOver related because I think people who can see are having the same problem! When you first create the account using your Instagram, you can follow everyone on Instagram who has threads! But afterwards, once you start following more people on Instagram thereβs no way to follow them on threads! There is no button that says follow Instagram followers or something like that! Like I said, though, I donβt think this is a voice over issue!
re: Threads app issues for iOS
First post updated to elaborate a bit. Might as well keep a running tally of issues if anyone else notices them.
threads solutions
Hey guys!
Here are solutions to threads issues.
the new post button is something like what's new? By clicking, it opens the field to type a new post.
To respond, click on the post text. At the bottom of the screen there will be a field to enter a response.
all without VoiceOver screen recognition.
Tested on an iPhone 16 e and with the latest version of the app, iOS 26.4.1
I hope it helps!
re: threads solutions
"What's new" has been the prompt for some time. The issue is posting the thread once text is entered. voiceover doesn't see the post button itself. Screen recognition does apparently work (but only when composing a new post, not replying or sending a direct message).
