Check out this shortcut intended to be launched when pressing the Action Button: https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/910a4495ac2b48e08575a5f520b845f8
I just wanted to gather some useful options in one place for easy access as Apple doesn’t let us assign multiple actions to double/tripple-presses or long-presses.
The Process Clipboard option is broken and I request your feedback and contributions as the Shortcuts app is far from being perfectly accessible, the Turkish translation is highly confusing and problematic —given it’s a scripting app—, and I’m kinda new to it. Note that I am also planning on adding support for the .png file extension in addition to .jpg, as well as more Apple Intelligence/Writing Tools options to process text, but want to know if there is a more intuitive and safer way to handle the “if” blocks to avoid breaking anything. As for why there are two separate options to mute and unmute the device instead of one single silent mode toggle like the others, it’s because trying to toggle silent mode wouldn’t perform the intended action and instead open the Shortcuts app. I’m 100% sure that one is Apple’s fault.

A question
Hi,
Are you trying to create a shortcut that, when activated, will present you with a list of functions?
For example, pressing your action button would provide a list like so:
Flashlight
Voice Memos
Silent mode on/off
Code Scanner
Music Recognition
Ideally this would present itself on your screen as a vertical list, and double tapping any of the items would activate them. Pressing your action button, and double tapping on the item again with deactivate them.
Is this what you were looking for?
Yes, but not toggles only.
You can just download the shortcut if you haven’t already. The Process Clipboard Content option is likely broken, but not in a way that is potentially harmful or dangerous.
I've looked it over as best I can
Sadly I have a pre-action button model iPhone, so several of the options don't really work on my device. Still, it's an interesting concept. It's almost like you attempted to create your own version of a control center, accessible by the action button.
Quite a while back, I created a similar concept for seeing AI functions. I will post a link below. Feel free to use it if you want, it is a simplified version of what you were trying to do.

Like yours, using Siri to activate the shortcut, will allow Siri to speak aloud each of the choices, allowing you to choose by voice. Since mine uses seeing AI functions, the coding and implementation was quite simple.
Oh! I forgot to mention...
There are some premade clipboard shortcuts within the shortcuts app. It may interest you to look over the code for those, and implement them into your script.
Just a thought. 🤷
Thanks!
Do keep in mind that you can remove the options that require Apple Intelligence support, and assign the shortcut to a VoiceOver gesture to bypass the Action Button requirement, which is also what I’m planning to do to see if I can still take advantage of a modified version tailored for my iPhone SE 2022/3rd Gen. It does have a silent switch so I might replace the mute/unmute options with more useful stuff, and all the other options already work as expected, so you may want to do the same.
Yes, I've been tinkering...
I'm also using an iPhone SE 2022. I'm on iOS 18.7.7 though, as I'm not quite ready to update my primary device to iOS 26.
