This is a game made by a blind dev, for people who are blind. It's very accessible.
I'm honestly so glad that this game is ported to Mac OS. This was a game from my childhood and I can now play it again!

additional modes
The game does still have its classic mode that was released in 2004, but it does have several changes as well. Here are just a few:
1. The game now has gaming controller support. You can play it using XBox or Play station controllers.
2. Several new modes have been added to the game. The first of these is Boss Rush, which unlocks when you beat the game and can be accessed in the "extras" menu under the save slot where you beat the game. Beating Boss Rush will unlock an additional mode, and then you can progress to certain levels and/or times in other modes to unlock even more modes.
I personally have had fun with the updated version, as well as the new modes, and I hope you all do too!
thanks!
Yeah i just copied and pasted the description from the website.
Thanks so much for all the fun on the release stream on saturday!
Awesome!
Cool that this game got a remake. I loved it back in the early 00s. I still have a demo CD I got from them at an event that had a trailor for the game and the credits theme. Makes me nostalgic whenever that song pops up when I have my music library on shuffle.
Too bad l-works doesn't develop iOS games anymore. Would love to play this on my iPhone. Oh well... beggers can't be choosy.
I'm glad this game made it to the mac
The subject line says it all. I originally purchased this game in 2008, back in the Windows XP days, and had not played the game in full for over 15 years. I'm currently at the final boss level in the main game. We won't go into the amount of times I have died. I know I will eventually beat him so I can unlock the additional modes.
Windows version?
How up-to-date is the Windows version?
TIA.
From the Developer
The windows version is kept current with the mac version, and vice versa. there is an update checker that will let you know when a new version is released.
IOS is not off the table, but at this moment a lot of back-end work would need to be done, and I don't have control over that part of the process.
I'm so glad everyone is enjoying the game. I will have a big update for the gam ein April with a bunch of requested fixes and features. Thanks for playing, and a big thanks to whoever posted the game to Applevis.
love this game!
glad that this game is now on mac! I still have the game on my windows computer!
Keep up the good work!
windows version
does someone have the link to the windows version? Thanks,
windows version
Click on the link in the app entry. there'll be both a windows and mac download there, just click the one you need.
thanks and bonus level
I got the windows version, thanks. Does anyone remember the bonus levels in the old game? Where you jump to the middle of the drain of act 2 in both the streets and water works and it takes you to bonus level, is that still there?
it's a bit different
It's a bit different now. scour the net if you want to find how to do it, or just experiment.
spoilers ahead! warning!
Spoilers ahead. Skip this comment if you wish to figure out the bonus level mechanic yourself.
Press up, then rather than pressing right twice, press right once, then hold down arrow.
If you do it, you will get the bonus level just like in the original 2004 game.
fun remake.
This is a great remake, i especially like how it uses your screen reader for faster reading of scores. One question, is it better to just hold down arrow key to jump or can you tap and move like you use too? I remember in the old version if you had crazy fast fingers you could jump between 11 and 15 tiles.
Gone are the days of jumping insane distances.
You can now only jump roughly 8 tiles. I used to do that too all the time back in the day. I jumped like 20 tiles really quickly.
I finally killed X1
Your total score is 37171 points.
I played Boss Rush a few times, and made it to Lethal Lab, and died, but I'm not giving up.
lava lake
Lava lake is hard lol because the mud sounds similar to the regular steps in that level. Also in the silver spaceship act 2 you do not start at position 0 but at position 100, go and check out what is behind you.
I keep dying.
In waterworks so far. Level 1. Tricky! I just have to slow down, probably. Love that this game is on Mac, and can't wait to get to the new modes. I mean, as soon as I stop dying all the time.
how to contact.
How do we contact him does he have a preferred method? A neat mode, cycle jump jump as many cycles as you can while fighting, endless mode.

SuperLiam, playing it again, unlocking memories
I have not a mac but I am playing it over Windows - I appreciate that this is portable. I mean, just unzip and play
I'm about to beat the game - on level 7, lethal lab, act 1.
I have to admit though, my reflexes are not so good any longer so when it's matter of jumping quick, running fast, avoiding fireballs when they are arriving quickly, well, my 46 years old are no longer supporting me! How hard it was to beat CycleBot! I feared not to finish the volcano escape but surprisingly it was better than I expected.
Well, I played it on 2004-2005, I also had a good time chatting with Liam Erven, the dev of this game. On ZoneBBS site, then on Skype, then on MSN messenger - we even celebrated together Italy's world cup in 2006. I had my former boyfriend in voice chat and Liam in text then. The one not knowing about the other. Nothing mischievous, I'm referring to commenting of the match.
And Liam didn't understand a word of the songs I sent him through YouTube links.
Damn, this game has unlocked all these good memories.
And yes, the WaterWorks level is the best one
as sounds, as atmosphere, as pictures you can form in your mind when the character gets trapped into a fan.
Fan death is the best death.
Absolutely! Favorite part of the game, as far as that goes. Not fun when you're still trying to beat it, but man, great sound design.
new update
Has anyone tried the new update 5.1? the AI escape is hard lol, does the laser speed up each step you take or each forward position you move? BTW, game controller works great at least on windows.
Now I have to go Download This Again
Haven't played this in years!!!!! I will have to go download and check out the new updates. I remember at one point someone made this crazy Mod that changed the game to some sort of whacky police story where you battled mobsters and some such. Anyone remember that version? Now we just need an updated Judgment Day.
I do remember
The interesting thing is, at least on windows, the sound files are hidden.
New update
I have the new update, and have made progress. I'm currently on level 7 of Superlaim.
I have now completed SuperLaim
The subject line says it all. Level 8 was not as difficult as I was expecting. I have also played 2 games of Laim's Revenge. I will try One Life Mode and No Damage Mode over the weekend.
AI escape.
I managed to beat AI escape, totally insane. I would like the ability to tap for each jump like in the old version.
Jumping mechanic
The current jumping mechanic was requested by a lot of players before the 1.5 update. Other titles, such as side Party and Crime Hunter 2, also use this same mechanic. I personally prefer this method to the previous method of repeatedly tapping left or right arrow keys while holding the up arrow.
