Watch
I believe the watch has that ability. If she has one, she can turn it on. Long live cats.
Clue Period and cycle tracker.
Hi Ramy: Found this on Applevis. I'm sure there are others but just chose the first one:
Clue Period & Cycle Tracker

Clue is the #1 period tracker app that uses science to help you discover the unique patterns in your menstrual cycle and support healthy habits. Track your period and health cycles to keep all aspects of your health and fitness in check. Track alongside with millions of people for accurate information. Get personalized reminders about your period, PMS, ovulation, and fertility.
Apple Health
Back when I was more low vision, I swore by Clue, but now I use the Apple Health app and it works fine for my needs. The main series of Apple Watch (not the SE) also has a way to track ovulation, too
Simple and not so accurate calculation
Since you're asking for something simple: If your friend is fine with the assumption of a fixed length of a cycle, no special app is needed. Just add an event which repeats every 28 days (or whatever she knows from experience) in the Calendar or Reminders app.
That said, cycle tracking in Apple Health is as straightforward to set up as anything on iOS.
As has been suggested before, wearable devices like Apple Watch Series 8, SE 3 and later models can monitor skin temperature if you regularly wear the watch during the night. The recorded temperatures, together with information which you can enter manually in the Apple Health app, are used to predict period times more accurately than just using a fixed number of days.
Thanks for your suggestions
I'll tell her about all these things.
THanks again for your help
calendar app
I don't use an app, I just use my calendar. There's also a way to add it, like, every 4 weeks on a specific day. Like, repeat every 4 weeks on a Sunday. I'd have to go into my calendar settings to figure out how I did it, but that's the simplistic way if you don't wanna mess with an app.
how to use calendar please?
need to explain to her how to use calendar for this thing please?
re: how to use calendar
Start by adding an event, whatever she wants to call it. Under the repeat section and select custom.
You'll start with frequency, whether it's daily, monthly or yearly. For this scenerio, she'd select monthly. Then it gets a little complicated from here, so I'll explain as best as I can. You'll see different picker options. It starts with numbers. So select whatever number applies. Then, next to that, you'll have days of the week.
So, as an example. She'd select four weeks, and then a day of the week. So mine looks like every 4 weeks on Sunday.
Hope that helps! It took me some time to figure it out.
