Hi all,

I recently received my Microsoft Surface, and started to explore the new NVDA 2026 version. I’ve been looking into other forums that center around the issue of add-on stability, and I wanted to get some recommendations on which ones I should get to make my experience using NVDA better.

Let me know what the add-on is called, as well as how it currently helps you. I’d like to know more about the functionality/usability of commonly used add-ons aside from their descriptions provided in the Add-On Store.

Thanks in advance, and I appreciate your recommendations!

This add-on is a package deal, meaning that it has a bunch of features within. Its main thing is a full screen OCR, using Google Gemini. Once you get a description you can immediately type out multiple questions to the AI, to get more specific detail about a dialogue, a button, an image, whatever you need. It also has the ability to translate webpages and documents. You can use it to OCR PDF files. I, believe, it can also click on certain webpage elements for you. Read about it at the link below. It truly is a wonderful add-on.

  • Say product name and version: Pretty self explanatory, it allows you to get the version of your currently running application.

Which one, is it the latest one with Snapdragon processers? How's the performance with NVDA? Any slowness while using NVDA along side typical browsers and other apps?

Hey,

I recently got my laptop last week, so I don’t have much experience with NVDA on Microsoft surface. However, it seems to work just fine. I don’t have any issues to report as of yet. I just wanted to know different add-ons that can make the experience better; ones that people regularly use.
