Hi All
Has anyone noticed the Voice Over volume randomly spiking when using voice over to enter and edit text while the iPhone is connected to an external Bluetooth
speaker such as the Beats Pill with Voice Over running through the iPhone’s internal speaker. Β I’m running the iPhone 17 pro and iOS 26.5.2. The bug only
occurred after updating to iOS 26.5.2
Cheers
Debbie

I have noticed this on my 16 without any headphones as well not only when connected to a bluetooth speaker. It's not massive jumps around in volume just enough to be annoying. I'm running 26.5 but it says i have an update available so i will try that and see if it fixes it. Sorry I don't have a fix for you though

One minute Voiceover's volume is normal, the next it's blasting. I'm lucky because I have an older iPhone running the latest version of iOS 17. I tend to only use that device on Bluetooth, primarily because of the volume issue.

VoiceOver volume randomly raises and lowers in the betas no matter waht you are using. I've encountered it with the phone speaker, and a bluetooth headset.

What I really don't appreciate though is that whenever using your voice for Siri, the system volume gets raised very high, which is very uncomfortable, especially when using a bluetooth headset. I'm already legally blind. I don't want to go deaf too! I did report this in the feedback app, and really hope it gets fixed for the next beta update.
