Hi everyone,
I'm an indie developer about to launch Roost, an iPhone app for home maintenance and pantry tracking — keep on top of when filters, smoke-alarm batteries, and warranties need attention, log food with expiry dates, and get "use it up" recipe ideas. It's local-first and private: no account, no ads, no tracking, and a one-time $14.99 purchase, no subscription.
I've built Roost with VoiceOver in mind and tested it as best I can, but I'm sighted, and I'd really value honest feedback from VoiceOver users before launch — unclear labels, awkward focus order, anything that feels clumsy or breaks the flow. Catching it now means I can fix it in the launch build.
It's free to test on TestFlight:

If you give it a try, I'd love to know how the main flows feel with VoiceOver: onboarding, adding an appliance and a maintenance task, and adding pantry items. I'll be reading every reply and fixing what I can. Thank you for your time.

A friendly nudge — first impressions welcome 🙏
Thanks so much to everyone who grabbed the TestFlight already 🙏 If you find ~10 minutes to open it and walk through the first run, I'd really value your first impressions — especially how the flow feels with VoiceOver. Happy to fix anything that's awkward before launch.
Roost is now on the App Store 🎉
Small update to close the loop: Roost is now on the App Store 🎉 Thank you to everyone who grabbed the TestFlight and tried it — it genuinely helped me ship with confidence.
Accessibility doesn't stop at launch, so if you're a VoiceOver user and anything feels off, I'd still love to hear it — reply here any time and I'll keep fixing things in updates.
It's free to download, with an optional one-time Pro unlock — no subscription.
Thanks again for being so welcoming to a first-time poster 🙏
