HI,
I would like to thank the many wayfinding app developers taking the time to develop such good solution for a long-exist barrior, and it's great that you take a good amount of time to research and deliberate.
I feel like one key information that many developers and engineers of navigation wayfinding app do miss is to be transparent about the technical decisions behind the data of their app.
For sighted users, this information may not be important at all.
But, for Blind people, knowing where you source your navigational and informational data, would allow a Blind user from africa, Singapore or India to be well-informed whether this app would be useful for them.
Are you using open street map, or google maps, or any other api end-points? What other datas that you are depending upon? how does the app analyse and relay the datapoints?
these are very important questions to ponder and inform the Blind community wen you rlease an app with such stake.
It's also essential to organise focus group discussion among Blind travellers and navigators to learn the real gaps that exist in this wayfinding ecosystem.
