New bug in Discord for iOS. When in a chat of any kind and typing text in the compose message text field, VoiceOver no longer announces what you are typing and cannot interact with the text to edit it. If you try and navigate by character or word VoiceOver will not see that there is any text entered. If you swipe on the screen to where the text field is it will appear empty to VoiceOver even if there is text entered. You can still type and send messages, but it is now difficult to impossible to correct typing errors in your messages.

I don't know if it's because the new app hasn't roled out yet for me or what. But I don't see any other update yet.
I hope that 1 you are wrong, 2 if you aren't that this can be fixed asap cause I use discord quite often.

Edit: I meant to add that I'm not having this issue when I PM friends. Haven't paid much attention to server community chat, as I usually just use discord to contact friends that are out of town. 🤷

I've been experiencing this bug too. Just updated Discord a few hours ago. I'm on iOS 26.5.1.
Looks like it's only happening on iOS 26.
Guess this version of Discord is only causing issues with iOS 26 then. That's odd.

That's frustrating. I was hoping other users could just indicate that they're experiencing the same dumb bug and bump it up in the priority queue. I guess if other users are experiencing the same bug we all have to fill out our own bug reports. Try the second link I posted.
Also Prevents BSI Text Entry
Since VO can't see the text field, braille screen input has no way of entering text. So, Discord is pretty much unusable for me at the moment. They have a similar issue with the text field used for updating your status. Guess they wanted to unify things? Not a fan.

Nope. If you enable BSI while VO focus is on the keyboard you can still enter text. It just doesn't announce anything when you do, but if you type something and hit send it still works. That's how it is for me anyway.

In checking the App Store this morning, I see that version 332.2 has been released. I just checked it and this issue persists with the new update.

I can definitely confirm this, although given that this version showed up shortly after I submitted my bug report, I don't expect it to be fixed in this version.

I can also confirm it's still broken. I'm tempted to go to the iOS 27 dev beta to check if it works on that, but I've only got the one iPhone and no developer beta I've ever tried has been stable enough. I know people are raving about how stable this one is, but honestly I don't even think I'm going to do the public beta this time around.
