As someone who has used high-quality voice chat software like TeamTalk for years, I've always wanted something that brings that same audio quality to a modern mobile application. These days, it feels like a lot of social apps sacrifice audio quality. I've wanted something I could simply open and use without worrying about setting up servers, dealing with microphone issues, or jumping through a bunch of hoops just to talk to someone. So, after months of development, I'm excited to finally introduce relayMe!
What is relayMe?
relayMe is an audio-based social platform that brings several ways of connecting with people into one application.
Here's what you can do with it:
- Audio posts: Record and share audio posts, reply to other people's posts, and discover new content through your feed.
- Live rooms: Create or join live conversations with high-quality audio. You can also stream audio directly into a room.
- Private messages and group chats: Talk privately with friends or join groups built around your interests.
- Live activities: Play games like Uno, Ninety-Nine, 1000 Miles, and more, directly inside live rooms.
- Polls: Create polls on posts or run them as live room activities.
- Scheduled rooms: Schedule upcoming live rooms so people can RSVP and receive notifications before they begin.
I've put a lot of work into the audio system itself. I wanted live conversations to sound good without requiring everyone to configure their own servers or mess around with complicated software.

Feedback and what's next
This is a public beta, so there will inevitably be bugs and things that need improvement.
I've spent months working on this application, and while I'm happy with how far it's come, there's still a lot I want to do.
I'd particularly appreciate feedback on the audio quality, live rooms, games, and anything that doesn't work quite right.

First impression
Just downloaded the beta. Overall this seems like a promissing app, feels almost how Clubhouse was like in its early days.
One comment, in the comments section of a post, when entering a comment there's a send button to the bottom-right of the screen, but when that is activated it inserts a new line instead of sending a comment. Perhaps you should change it to the normal return button if you intend for the comment text input box to be multi-line.
Also if you plan for this app to be as inclusive as possible (I.E sighted users can also use it) perhaps consider adding features like profile pictures and attaching photos/videos in comments and DMs.
Is this available on the mac.
Hi. I use a mac to do most of my apple stuff. I have an iphone, but I was wondering if this is available on the mac or is it coming in a later update. Just curious.
