Hello everyone,
I'm Atakan, a blind developer. Over the years, I've worked on various accessibility technologies, and for the past two years I've been building Binclusive, a platform that helps organizations make their applications more accessible. It's primarily designed for product managers and developers.
About three months ago, we launched something new for our community: an audio description platform built for blind and visually impaired people who want to enjoy video content accessibly. It's the continuation of the Omnidescriber project that was previously shared here.
Binclusive Content Studio (CTS)
With CTS, you can generate audio-described versions of YouTube videos or your own video files. You can ask questions about specific moments in your videos, edit descriptions through the description editor, and export the final result.
Key Features
- Specify the type of video and level of detail you want in the descriptions
- Converts all visual details into rich audio descriptions
- Supports more than 50 languages
- Built-in description editor for fine-tuning the output
- Export descriptions in multiple formats
Pricing and Availability
So far, over 500 pieces of content have been described on the platform. Videos up to 3 minutes long can be described for free. To keep the platform sustainable, we also offer subscription packages you can choose from based on your needs.
Special Offer for AppleVis Community
As a thank-you to the AppleVis community, we've created a special discount code: use welcome to get 30% off annual subscription plans until May 31st.

I'm a bit confused.
I've not tried it yet but let's say I wanted to drop a youtube video link in there and have it described, could I do that? just find a random video on my homepage and drop it in? If not then I don't think many peple wil use it apart from those who run a business and have video content.
Re: Brad
Hello,
Yes, you can drop in a youtube link and the app will describe it for you.
I thought I'd heard of this and tried it and I was right.
You still can't delete your account or add a password, the idea is fasinating and works wel, although I've listened to youtube for so long that it's a bit odd,but it was fun putting shorts into it.
I'd like to get my account deleted please so add that feature ASAP. I don't know who'd use this honestly but if peple do then I hope it makes you some money and that you improve it for the future.
For anyone confused like me, you have to wait till the AI is done processing, then you can play the video, you can't seam to download it though even though there's a credit cost for tts and download options. This stuff will be amazing in a couple months/years for now it's baby steps and honestly even though it's not for me, I'm still very impressed.
re: Brad
The export option is not available for youtube videos due to legal issues.
Ah ok.
Fair enough. I hope I can delete my account but I'd honestly be a bit wary of this company, I like the audio description but why make a website and add all these features but not the ability to delete your account? I don't like that, it says it's coming soon but they said that the last go round.
Is it possible to use our own API keys?
I think this would provide greater freedom to potential users, as well as possibly being cheaper. if not already implemented, I think it would be a great concept.
Regarding account deletion and YouTube export
Hello, and thank you for your feedback.
As Burak mentioned, we're unable to support exporting to YouTube due to legal issues. The description process takes about 4-5 minutes on average, depending on the length of the video. I know this differs from the normal YouTube viewing experience, but I believe it's worth it to watch accessible content.
Regarding account deletion, you're right — it's high on our backlog. For accounts signed in via social login, there's no need for a password-setting feature, but you can change the password of the account you're logged into by using the "Forgot Password" option.
For account deletion, if you send an email to info@binclusive.io from the relevant email address stating that you'd like to delete your account, we can delete your account and your data.
Adding a personal API key
This is one of the ideas we're considering, but we use different AI models together here, and storing user API keys would require additional legal compliance and security measures. We'd like to implement this at some point down the line.
Thank you very much.
describing a youtube video?
This sounds very neat and something I will be trying out. I just have one question. How do you get it to describe a youtube video? Also, can you have it describe only certain portions of the video?
I've not used this in a long time but, let me see...
log in, grab a URL from youtube, shorts are best for now, go to create new project, put in the URL by pasting it, I think you have to name the project, press the go button, I can't remember what it's called, then you wait, it would be great if there was a progress bar but there isn't.
Give it about 5 or so minutes, then a player should appear on the page, press enter on play and NVDA or whatever screen reader you're using should start speaking the description out loud, you can't turn the video down though, as far as i know.
Answers
Hello,
Yes, copy the YouTube link, then after clicking the new project link, select YouTube from the file or YouTube tabs. Paste the YouTube link, specify details such as language and scope, and optionally add additional details about the video. Then click create.
Depending on the length of your video, when the video description is finished, it will say "description not completed" under the heading with the project name. Then, when you press the play button, your screen reader will read it aloud. Alternatively, you can select a TTS from your computer under the sound and playback heading between the headings and adjust its speed. If you turn the "Play with TTS" switch on, the TTS will read the descriptions when you press play.
Also, the video's volume can be lowered from the normal video player.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to describe a specific section of the video. However, we will consider this within the team for the future.
Thank you.
I don't think it can.
I'ven ot used it in a while but when trying shorts I don't htink you can lower it.
