Posted on Friday, February 20, 2026 by AnonyMouse

Welcome to another installment of AnonyMouse's App Pick of the Month. This month’s pick is WikiTrip – Travel Audio Guide, a location-based audio stories app powered by Wikipedia. I picked WikiTrip because it turns a road trip, commute, or even a simple walk into something more interesting in the moment, without needing you to sit there reading on your phone.

WikiTrip is built around movement. You start the app, then walk, drive, or ride, and it reads aloud the stories behind the…

iPhone 17 Review: "Apple Really Outdid Themselves"

Posted on Thursday, February 5, 2026 by Alicia Krage

I upgraded to the iPhone 17 in December. Coming from the iPhone 15, I definitely noticed immediate improvements, and can already declare, one month in, that this is the best upgrade I’ve received so far. Apple really outdid themselves with this one.

The very first thing I noticed about the iPhone 17 was the sound quality. It’s something I had heard so much about and was very much looking forward to. Both with playing media and just the general sound of VoiceOver, there seems to be…

Posted on Friday, January 30, 2026 by AnonyMouse

Welcome to the January 2026 installment of AnonyMouse’s App Pick of the Month. This month, my pick is Theseus & the Minotaur, a strategy-based puzzle game that delivers a thoughtful and challenging experience on iOS. I chose this app because it immediately reminded me of one of my most loved games from years ago—Robo-E, a title that has long since disappeared from the App Store. Ever since then, I’ve been hoping for something similar,…

Posted on Friday, January 2, 2026 by AnonyMouse

Welcome to the December 2025 installment of AnonyMouse's App Pick of the Month. This month, my pick is Mona 7 for Mastodon, an app that continues to raise the bar for what an accessible social networking experience can be on iOS. I chose Mona this month because version 7 builds on the strong foundation of the previous releases that many of us in the VoiceOver community already considered essential.

For blind and low vision users on Mastodon, Mona has long been one of the go-to apps—…
